I am very happy to share that my studio is now located at 21 High Street, Heacham, Kings Lynn. PE31 7ER. It’s a wonderful feeling to have all classes running under one roof again. At the moment, they are Tuesday and Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm and Thursday evening from 6.30 – 8.30 pm with more classes starting soon.
I am still passionately committed to transforming The Old Dairy in Heacham into an art and community centre. Find out more at Save the Old Dairy Heacham.
What is Studio @ 55?
Well, first and foremost, it is my studio. If you would like to see examples of my work, please visit my website.
Apart from sculptural work for exhibitions and commissions, I provide courses in clay modelling, soapstone carving, sculpture using armatures, making pottery without a wheel and lino-cut.
My groups are small so that I can provide individual attention.
I just thought it’s been a tough year for everyone but it’s also been a time where lots of people have rediscovered a love of making things and working with their hands, a practice that can be grounding, mindful and reassuring. Something I think we all need right now.
Who am I?
I’m Esther Cecilia Boehm, a German Canadian artist and I hail from Edmonton, Canada, but being a bit of a nomad I’ve lived in several countries so it was no surprise to me that I ended up here. I guess I could have ended up anywhere in the UK but about six years ago I first visited Heacham to stay with a friend and fell in love with the area and with Norfolk.
